WHAT IS ICC FabLab?
A community-based makerspace. ICC FabLab is a digital fabrication laboratory and creative space that operates on the campus of Independence Community College but is also open to the public through membership. It serves a wide audience, including students, small business owners, and hobbyists.
Equipped with advanced digital tools. The lab provides access to a wide array of advanced technology, including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC machines, and vinyl cutters, as well as equipment for podcasting, embroidery, and more. A hub for innovation and business. The lab is located within the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. It is geared toward helping entrepreneurs and small businesses develop prototypes and create custom products, with programs like the Growth Accelerator to assist with business management. Part of a global network. As a member of the worldwide Fab Lab network, ICC FabLab shares a common set of tools and processes with labs in other countries, facilitating the global exchange of knowledge and ideas for digital fabrication. |
